Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey is undecided what guard Luke Kennard's role is going to be this upcoming season.

Casey did admit, though, he likes how Kennard fits with the team's second unit.

“No decision’s been made,” Casey said, via the Detroit Free Press. “I’m not going to put anything on concrete. I like him with the second unit. We utilize his skillset more with the second unit.”

Last season, Luke Kennard struggled with injuries and didn’t really get into a rhythm for the Pistons after the All-Star break. He played in 63 games during the regular season and put up 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 39.4 percent from the 3-point line and 83.6 percent from the charity stripe.

Once he got healthy, the Pistons sharpshooter started to play like the guy Detroit envisioned it was getting when they drafted him. Kennard averaged 11.7 points after the All-Star break and put up 15.0 points in the Pistons' four-game playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks while shooting 48.9 percent from the floor and an incredible 60.0 percent from the 3-point line.

The Pistons are looking for Kennard to take the next step in his development in 2019-20, whether he starts or comes off the bench.
