Isiah Thomas had a Hall of Fame career with the Detroit Pistons, but if he had it his way, Zeke would have played for his hometown Chicago Bulls instead.

On the latest episode of Knuckleheads with Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles, Thomas says he “sabotaged” his draft interviews on purpose so he could fall to the Bulls at No. 6.

However, it didn't work, as the Pistons drafted Thomas with the second overall pick in the 1981 NBA Draft:

Isiah Thomas' dream was to be the starting point guard for the Bulls. Instead, he got drafted by the rival Pistons and basically was hated in his hometown throughout his playing career because he was playing for the enemy.

In 979 regular-season games for the Pistons, Thomas averaged 19.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 9.3 assists. He was a 12-time All-Star, two-time NBA champion and the 1990 Finals MVP.

Thomas was inducted into the Hall of Fame back in 2000. He will go down as one of the greatest point guards in NBA history.

The Bulls selected Orlando Woolridge out of Notre Dame with the sixth pick in the 1981 Draft. He finished his career with averages of 16.0 points and zero championships.

It's crazy how the Pistons still drafted Thomas despite his reluctance to join the team. In the end, both Thomas and Detroit fell in love with each other.
