Detroit Pistons Jerami Grant is not only one of the better players in the NBA, but he's also a great all-around human being.

On the court, he is an incredible player who won a Gold Medal with the USA Team in the 2020 Olympics. He also averaged a career-high in points for the Pistons last season

In an interview with Marc Spears, Grant revealed that he decided to build a shelter and community center for the people of Detroit.

“When I first got here seen a few homeless people, one homeless person in particular. I got, started having a conversation with him. He was just explaining to me how the homeless shelter, they moved everyone out the homeless shelter to shut it down. It just touched me in a way that made me want to give back. So we're in the midst of building a homeless shelter. Basically, a community center where they can stay and people can come to either get food in or kind of hang to bring them around.”

Detroit hasn't found much success this year after having the number one pick last season. Many people thought that they were going to have a surprising year and be a playoff team. What Grant is doing is bigger than basketball for Detroit. He's doing something that everyone in Detroit will appreciate and will make his legacy even greater in Detroit.
