Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson can't wait to play with a “killer” in Derrick Rose this season.

Pistons head coach Dwane Casey says “there will be scenarios” where Rose and Jackson play together in 2019-20.

Jackson is the Pistons’ starting point guard. Detroit signed Rose this offseason in free agency to a two-year deal. The former MVP is slated to be Jackson’s backup.

Last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Derrick Rose averaged 18.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. The three-time All-Star shot 48.2 percent from the field and 37.0 percent from the 3-point line.

Reggie Jackson, meanwhile, put up 15.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Pistons. He shot 42.1 percent overall, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 86.4 percent from the charity stripe

The Pistons will likely start, Jackson, Bruce Brown, Tony Snell, Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond. Rose, though, should close out games for Detroit with Jackson since he’s an explosive scorer.

The Pistons averaged 107.0 points per game in 2018-19, which ranked 25th in the league. With Rose in the fold, Detroit should be more explosive on offense this season.

Last season, Rose became the first NBA player since 1983 to score at least 917 points in fewer than 1,400 minutes. The Chicago native scored a career-high 50 points on Halloween against the Utah Jazz, too.
