Despite dealing with a right ankle injury, Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson will play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

Jackson suffered the injury in the Pistons' previous game versus the Miami Heat.

The Pistons are on a two-game losing streak and fighting for their playoff lives.

Detroit is 34-33 on the season, which is good for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. The team is coming off two blowout losses, one to the Brooklyn Nets and the other to the Heat.

In 67 games this season, Reggie Jackson is averaging 15.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists. The 28-year-old is shooting 42.4 percent from the field, 37.0 percent from beyond the arc and 87.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Jackson hasn't missed a game all season. With Friday being a big game for the Pistons, it's not a surprise to see Jackson giving it a go despite dealing with the ankle issue.

Detroit should win this game against the Lakers. Los Angeles is out of the playoff hunt and will be resting superstar small forward LeBron James.

After coming off two terrible losses, the Pistons need to rebound on Friday and get back to their winning ways. Having Jackson in the lineup should help.
