Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson is expected to make his return from injury for Wednesday night's matchup against the Sacramento Kings, according to a report from James Edwards of The Athletic.

Jackson has played in just two games this season due to a back injury. His last game-time action was in October, so the Pistons will likely be cautious with their approach to his his return. He'll likely be on a minutes restriction, but it will be nice to see him back on the court.

Jackson spoke with reporters during Wednesday's shootaround, noting that he is feeling good about his recovery:

“How have you been feeling over the last several weeks?” a reporter asked the Pistons talent.

“I'm feeling better each and every day,” Jackson replied. “It's been good rehabbing. I'm just happy to go out here and get a chance to compete with my teammates again.

The fact that Jackson is on the mend is great news for the Pistons, who are currently holding a 16-28 overall record. His return could eventually cut into the minutes of some of his teammates, though, including those of Svi Mykhailiuk and Langston Galloway.

Jackson played in all 82 regular season games last season, racking up averages of 15.4 points on 42.1 percent shooting from the field (36.9 percent from beyond the arc), 4.2 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 27.9 minutes per outing.

Wednesday night's matchup between the Pistons and Kings is scheduled to tip inside Little Caesars Arena at 7:00 p.m. ET.
