It has been a tough start to the third season in the league for Detroit Pistons forward Stanley Johnson that has been highlighted by his struggles offensively.

According to Ansar Khan of MLive.com, Johnson is now set to miss Wednesday's game's against the Indiana Pacers due to a hip injury.

The Detroit Pistons' first change to their starting lineup comes in their 11th game tonight because Stanley Johnson is out with a sore hip flexor.

The 21-year-old is currently averaging 8.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in 30.8 minutes per game while starting each of the 10 first games of the season. However, his offensive woes have been his primary detractor this season as he has failed to reach double figures in all but three games. This includes going 0-for-13 from the field in the season opener along with notching zero points in 18 minutes against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Johnson had voiced prior to the season that he was hoping to experience a significant jump in production his third full season in the league. Despite all of that, Detroit has remained confident in him that he can find his stride offensively at some point this year.

The Pistons have raced out to one of the best records at 7-3 in the Eastern Conference through the first few weeks of the season behind the strong collective play. This includes winning five out of the last six games that include topping the likes of the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves.
