In a surprise move, Blake Griffin is announcing his retirement — from comedy. The Detroit Pistons star is stepping away from comedy to focus on his real career — music. Wait, what? Blake's announcement is a bombshell to the comedy world and it's turning heads in the music industry.

Griffin is one of the best personalities in the NBA. In this hysterical video, he reminds the world of his comedic chops. Griffin's antics in this video are laugh-out-loud funny, but he's upstaged by some of the other NBA players in the video. Carmelo Anthony, Isaiah Thomas, and Kevin Love all take their turn to roast Griffin.

Kenny Mayne of ESPN introduces Griffin's faux press conference and then the bit takes a turn.

“I'd like to formally announce my retirement…from the world of comedy,” Griffin said to begin his press conference. “Ultimately, I really wanted to spend more time focusing on what was important to me — the career I really should be paying attention to — my music.

“To clarify, I will continue to play basketball, otherwise the basketball people will stop paying me. No more questions.”

Griffin created this video with Funny or Die and is another reason why he's one of the funniest players in the NBA. He's never afraid to poke fun at the NBA or himself. He's one of the most exciting players on the court, but he always finds a way to keep fans entertained off the court as well. That certainly isn't changing with his move to Detroit.
