It appears that Blake Griffin is channeling his tendency to dunk on opponents from Lob City and bringing it to the Motor City. In tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Griffin pulled off a move you don’t see too often from a big man.

Most big men are not quite as fast, athletic, or possess the shooting ability Griffin has. We all know Blake Griffin can absolutely throw it down. Over the years, he has really expanded his game to provide versatility on the offensive side of the ball.

The pump fake was perhaps the most impressive aspect of this play by the Pistons big. Griffin controlled the ball effortlessly and proceeded to slam it down over one of the league’s best defenders. As good as Joel Embiid is from a defensive standpoint, there’s not much you can do when a player like Blake Griffin has a full head of steam coming down the court.

There has been a lot of speculation in this young season if Griffin has returned to his All-Star form. There’s no question if he continues to play at this level, he may help the Pistons make some noise in the Eastern Conference this season.

At the time of this writing, Griffin already has 28 points heading into the second half. What’s even more impressive is, 22 of those points came in the second quarter alone. It appears that the 76ers are going to need more help containing Griffin in the second half. Good luck Philly. It looks like they’ll need to do more than “Trust the process.”
