Detroit Pistons guard Derrick Rose isn't exactly known for his defense. But he denied his baby son at the rim as he was trying to slam one down.

Peep the clip below to see Rose's emphatic block. His son tried his best to sneak one over his father. But D-Rose reminded him why he's the youngest MVP in NBA history.

The 32-year-old Rose has been doing relatively well since his gruesome injuries several years ago. Understandably, he isn't as explosive as he once was. But through sheer hard work and perseverance, the former Memphis standout has remained healthy.

He continues to be a productive player even though his minutes have dwindled in his stints with the New York Knicks, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and now with the Pistons.

Last season in 50 games in Motown, he actually led the team in points and assists with per game averages of 18.1 and 5.6, respectively. He also shot a career-best 49.0 percent shooting from the field, while adding 2.4 rebounds. Derrick Rose played the perfect role off the bench and was even considered for the Sixth Man of the Year plum.
