Detroit Pistons frontcourt player Thon Maker jumped over Bojan Bogdanovic of the Indiana Pacers after biting on the latter's shot fake.

In the clip posted by Bleacher Report, look at how Maker cleared all of Bogdanovic's 6-foot-8 frame.

This could have been an unfortunate accident for either of the two, but thanks to athleticism and awareness, both players were spared.

Thon Maker has seen limited action this season, but against the Pacers, he played 42 minutes and scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. He also had four blocks. Teammates Wayne Ellington and Reggie Jackson scored 26 points and 22 points, respectively, for Detroit.

Despite their efforts, the Pacers came out on top, 111-102. A total of seven Pacers notched double-figure numbers in scoring. Bogdanovic had an impressive stat line: 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Thaddeus Young had 19 points, nine rebounds, and five rebounds. Myles Turner had a strong all-around game: 17 points, six rebounds, three steals, and five blocks.

It was a valuable win for the Pacers, who are trying to move up to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. They currently have a 46-32 record, tied with the Boston Celtics. The Pistons and Thon Maker, meanwhile, are not guaranteed a playoff spot just yet. They need to win as many games as they can and, at the same time, hope that the teams chasing them in the East will lose. Brooklyn, Miami and Orlando all did on Monday night.

The Pistons and the Pacers will meet again on Wednesday in Detroit.
