Pokemon Go may be all about catching ‘mons and expanding your collection, but for players who revel in the thrill of trainer battles, the Battle League is just the feature to get your adrenaline pumping and competitive spirit soaring with the range of themed cups and ranking-up to strive for. But before jumping into Season 11, Pokemon Go actually has an Interlude Season on its schedule to give the devs time to fix bugs and latency issues. While this won't be a full-blown season, the current Interlude Season is still chock-full of exciting leagues, battle days, a timed research quest, and various rewards that Pokemon Go players can enjoy.
Pokemon Go Battle League Interlude Season Details
Interlude Season Schedule, Leagues and Cups
Pokemon Go Season 10 had been extended until Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 1 pm PST. As the previous season of the Battle League has come to a close, the Interlude Season has started right after on March 1 and will run until Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 1 pm PDT.
This Interlude Season is quite different from past full seasons. Players can still enjoy participating in various leagues and cups as well as claim end-of-season rewards via the battle screen. However, there will be no visible ratings during the interlude. Trainers will find that their Go Battle League ranks have been reset, giving you a new chance to grind and rank-up. The mechanics remain the same as in Season 10, but you'll cap out at rank 20.
During this time, Pokemon Go will have a weekly league rotation schedule, which begins and ends at 1 pm PT (PST before March 12, PDT afterwards) for all weeks. Check out the schedule of the Interlude Season below for the active leagues and cups per week.

Pokemon Go Battle Days
In the midst of the league and cup action, Pokemon Go will also be featuring three Battle Days during this Interlude Season. Read on to find out the details and bonuses or rewards for each battle day as well as when they will be taking place. Do note that the designated cups and leagues will still be active during the Battle Day, following the weekly schedule indicated in the table above.
Additionally, for each battle day, the maximum number of sets that trainers can play per day will be increased from 5 to 20, which gives a total of 100 battles. Battle Day schedules will also be following your local time, available for the whole day from 12 midnight to 11:59 pm, while the bonuses are only available from 11 am to 2 pm.
In each set, the first win reward from the Basic track will be a reward encounter. The second until the fifth win rewards will remain unchanged. Meanwhile, for the Premium track, all win rewards will be reward encounters (see the last section for details on what Pokemon you can encounter per rank).

Pokemon Go Timed Research – BATTLE Ticket
Now that the Interlude Season has begun, the Pokemon Go shop now offers a Timed Research quest called the BATTLE Ticket. But don't worry, the Timed Research ticket is available for free. In the shop, scroll down past the event boxes then claim the ticket for free, then it will appear in your Today View area in the game.
The BATTLE Timed Research tracks players' progress in the Battle League, recording your victories throughout the season. With each research page, you'll need to rack up more wins to complete each step for a total of seven steps or pages. Completing the research page will reward you with Stardust; the amount will also increase progressively to match the number of wins you have to achieve. For the first page, players will need to win one game and will get 500 Stardust as a reward.
The Timed Research ticket gives players a whole three months until June 1, 2022 to complete all the missions and earn all of that Stardust.
Interlude Season Rewards, Encounters
For this Interlude Season, trainers can get various rewards by winning battles (through the Timed Research missions described previously, as well as through the Battle Day bonuses) and by ranking up. These rewards can either be Pokemon encounters at certain ranks or collectible cosmetics called avatar items. Find out what rewards you can look forward to this season as you rank up in the Pokemon Go Battle League.
In line with this Season being the Season of Alola in Pokemon Go, the Interlude Season will continue the theme inspired by Team Skull enforcer Gladion, whom players first met through the Pokemon Sun and Moon games. As such, the avatar rewards are all Gladion-related outfits, while the guaranteed Pokemon encounter at Rank 1 is one of the ‘mons that Gladion is known for using.
Guaranteed rank-up encounters
You will be guaranteed to encounter these Pokemon at least once when you reach the ranks indicated below. Do note though that the Shiny Pikachu Libre will not be available during the Interlude Season.
Standard Pokemon encounters
Under the standard encounters, these Pokemon can appear when you reach a certain rank (and at ranks after that), but it's not guaranteed. Also, only some of the Pokemon can be Shiny encounters. For trainers that reach rank 20, whichever Pokemon are available in five-star raids now also have a chance of appearing as a reward encounter.

Do note however that if you already earned the Gladion Shoes, Pants, and/or Hoodie through the Battle Day bonuses, you won't be able to get another set even if you reach Rank 20. At the end of the season, trainers will also receive an Elite Fast TM as a reward.
