A Pokemon Legends Arceus leak has allowed the game to be live-streamed on Twitch, roughly a week before the game's official release.

Set to be released on January 28, 2022, Pokemon Legends Arceus gameplay can already be watched on Twitch and on Youtube. Early copies of the game were obtained by some people, who promptly hacked the game to get its ROM. Then, the ROMs were leaked to the internet, allowing players to download the ROMs and play the Pokemon legends Arceus leak in front of their viewers. Chances are, these players will already have completed the game by the time the game officially releases this Friday. You'd see dozens of live streams active right now on Twitch for the game, with Nintendo nor The Pokemon Company seemingly not doing anything to strike them down.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time that a Pokemon game has leaked ahead of the official release. A similar incident happened with Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in November. However, we expect Pokemon Legends Arceus to still be a strong seller in spite of the leak. On top of pre-orders, the game will surely be snagged up by avid fans on Day 1 of its release. And regardless of how critics would receive the game, we're sure that being a Pokemon game almost guarantees high sales numbers already. Just look at its immediate predecessor, Pokemon BDSP, which sold 1.39 million copies within three days and 6 million within a week. This made Pokemon BDSP the Switch console's second best-selling launch title, just behind Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Pokemon Legends Arceus will sell similar numbers, if not completely surpass Pokemon BDSP.
