Pokemon TCG Astral Radiance comes out on May 27, 2022.
Astral Radiance is the tenth main expansion set for the Sword & Shield series of cards. The set continues to support the VSTAR mechanic, adding even more VSTAR Pokemon cards in the current rotation. Its card list consists of cards from both the Japanese Time Grazer and Space Juggler sets, as well as the Battle Region and VMAX Climax subsets. These Japanese versions come out in Japan on April 8, 2022.
Astral Radiance promotes Pokemon Legends: Arceus by heavily featuring the Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia, appearing in the set as V and VSTAR cards. Hisui versions of Pokemon are also present in the set.
New to the expansion are Sparkling Pokemon – functionally identical to Shining Pokemon. These are basic Pokemon cards that appear in that species' shiny form or color palette. Only one copy of Sparkling Pokemon can be present in a deck at a time. More Full Art reprints also appear in the set's Trainer Gallery.
Just some of the Hisui-specific cards already revealed for the set include the aforementioned Origin forms of Dialga VSTAR and Palkia VSTAR, as well as the Hisuian forms of the final evolutionary forms of the game's starters Typhlosion, Decidueye, and Samurott.
