Why Man United Could Win This Match
If Manchester United wins this game, it will be only through one player – Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese legend had to play out of his skin in the last few weeks to get any points to Man United. The last win of the Red Devils that does not include a Ronaldo goal is all the way back on the 20th of February when they beat Leeds United through goals by Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, and Elanga. All of these guys need to step up, but if anyone wins it for the Devils, it will be Ronaldo.
In terms of their chances in this game, they can exploit the fact that Chelsea is effectively playing for nothing. Manchester United still did not secure themselves a spot in Europe next season. Currently, they are sixth in the table, but West Ham has an additional game to play and could overtake them. Additionally, Wolverhampton is just five points away with two more games to play than Manchester United, so they can overtake them as well. Thus, Man United desperately needs all three points.
This season has been so underwhelming for Manchester United, especially after another summer of massive investments. One game will definitely not turn it around, but the Red Devils can start the turnaround early by beating Chelsea at Old Trafford this week. If they do not, their European campaign for next year might be highly jeopardized.
Why Chelsea Could Win This Match
Chelsea's collapse this season was not as drastic as Man United's, but it is still notable. The Blues were first for a period of time, early in the season, and they were expected to heavily challenge for the title. Just a few months since that, Chelsea is 11 points behind Liverpool and a whole 15 behind league-leaders Manchester City, albeit with one more game to play. It is true that they are out of the title race, but they could give their fans something to cheer about, especially amidst the constant issues with their management.
A huge reason why Chelsea could win is their talent. Timo Werner finally found his scoring boots, hidden since he joined from RB Leipzig. The German scored in three out of the last four games he played, including a goal versus Real Madrid that almost got the Blues to the semifinal of the Champions League. Apart from Werner, other guys like Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, and Christian Pulisic are all playing some great football, despite some disappointments like the aforementioned Brentford game.
Chelsea undoubtedly has the talent to win this game, but more importantly, they have an elite manager in Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel will get the squad going regardless of the meaning of the game, so Chelsea will definitely enter this game strong. If they manage to score an early goal, it should be an easy win for Chelsea, but even keeping it at a draw for longer periods of time suits them, as Pulisic showed last time out versus West Ham, when he scored a winner in the 90th minute.

It is a tough match to predict. If Ronaldo shows up, Man United should be favored, but it is the same story for Chelsea and their attacking talent.
