Gini Wijnaldum joined PSG this summer on a free transfer after a decorated career at Liverpool where he won a Premier League title and a Champions League trophy. However, life in the French capital hasn't been so kind to the Dutchman.

Wijnaldum dropped a huge truth bomb on how he's feeling about joining PSG, via Dutch outlet NOS:

“To be honest, I can't say I'm completely happy [at Paris Saint-Germain] because the situation is not what I wanted. Sometimes if you don’t play it’s worrying.”

The talented midfielder hasn't exactly been in PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino's plans early on. While he's played in all eight Ligue 1 fixtures thus far, Wijnaldum has only been in the starting XI five times. In two Champions League group stage matches, the 30-year-old has logged only 57 minutes. Marco Verratti, Idrissa Gueye, and Ander Herrera have been preferred in the middle of the pitch.

The experience Wijnaldum brings to the table is undoubtedly a positive to PSG, but his impact is surely not the same as when he was at Anfield. He's yet to score a goal or tally an assist this term as well.

Wijnaldum expressed his displeasure on the Liverpool exit, voicing that he was keen on staying with the Reds but didn't get the feeling he was wanted anymore. On a more positive note though, it's not like the Netherlands international isn't playing at all with PSG. There's still lots of time for Wijnaldum to earn more minutes and prove his worth to the Ligue 1 giants.
