A former PSG midfielder took a massive dig on Neymar for not doing what he’s supposed to do alongside Lionel Messi.
Edouard Cisse, who played 10 years for PSG has recently savaged Neymar for the Brazilian’s apparent diva attitude.
According to Cisse, Neymar was exceptional at Barcelona, playing the role of one of Lionel Messi’s co-stars. However, those days are long gone and he has been doing a terrible job at Paris Saint-Germain even with Messi now on the team.
“At Barcelona there was a structure,” Cisse told French outlet Le Parisien via Marca. “[Neymar] had a cleaner style of play, although he dribbled more. His job [at Barca] was to break the defensive line, make the difference and pass the ball to General [Lionel] Messi.”
“He did it so well that he became his ‘alter ego',” he continued. “In Paris [PSG], they gave him the keys and they let him do what he wanted.”
Cisse further exclaimed that Neymar is hands down one of the best players in the world at present. However, it is becoming more and more apparent that since leaving Barcelona for PSG, the spotlight and attention has turned him into a “spoiled brat.”
“In one moment, he [Neymar] was lost,” he added. “He is a great player, no one can dispute that, but he has become a spoilt brat and he bosses everyone around.”
As it stands, Neymar is once again reunited with Messi at PSG. However, the pair has yet to work the magic they had during their Barcelona days.
