Neymar has recently declared his desire to continue playing at PSG despite recent rumors that the club may look to sell him this summer. With Kylian Mbappe now having major sway in the club's decision-making, one would imagine Neymar would be trying to get on his teammates' good side. That didn't seem to cross his mind when Neymar was asked about the current best player in the world. Rather than give the nod to Mbappe, or even Lionel Messi, Neymar spurned both his teammates when declaring Vinicius Jr. as the world's biggest talent.

“The best player in the world? It's Vinicius Jr.. Mbappe had a great season, Benzema too, but from what I've seen, it's Vini,” said Neymar via Bolarinwa Olajide.

It's certainly a bold claim from the PSG star, but it's not too far-fetched from Neymar. If the 21-year-old isn't already the best player in the world, there's a strong chance he will be within a few years' time.

In all competitions for Real Madrid this season, Vinicius Jr. appeared in 52 matches, starting 47. He scored a total of 22 goals and added 16 assists on the year. He scored 17 goals and added 10 assists in La Liga, and contributed 4 goals and 6 assists in 13 Champions League games.

Neymar, who is teammates with Vinicius Jr. for the Brazilian national team, has given his compatriot some high praise. He better hope Mbappe doesn't take his comments too personally, however. As Neymar faces an uncertain future at PSG, the club's decision to sell or keep him could very well be impacted by Mbappe.
