PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe is undoubtedly one of the best players in world football, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted he needs to do more. The Swedish legend explained in a recent interview how Mbappe can solidify himself as the top talent around. Via ESPN:

“I love Mbappe, but he isn't doing enough,” Ibrahimovic told Telefoot. “He can become very strong if he hurts himself. He needs to taste blood and walk on fire.

“Surround yourself with people who tell you you're not good enough and you will become the best.”

Some interesting words from Ibra. To be frank, Mbappe is treated like a king at PSG given just how good he's been for the club. His future in the French capital is extremely unclear though after almost leaving for Real Madrid this past summer. The France international could potentially join Los Blancos in 2022 if he doesn't sign a new deal at the Parc des Princes.

Mbappe has easily been PSG's most productive player this term, scoring six goals and supplying eight assists across all competitions. He was also key in Les Bleus winning the Nations League last month. The 22-year-old has been nominated for the Ballon d'Or Award.

Ibra also took credit for the Ligue 1 giants having the ability to sign big players because of his stint at the club:

“When PSG were bought out, I was one of the first to be signed,” he added. “And I'm very proud. Without me, PSG wouldn't have become what it is now.

“Some people think I came for the money, the city, the life. No — I came, and everything changed.”

Since Ibrahimovic left, Neymar, Mbappe, and most recently, Lionel Messi have brought their talents to Paris. This trio currently forms a lethal frontline, but they've yet to really find chemistry together.
