They did it for the North. The duo of Quavo and Jack Harlow just defeated 2 Chainz and Lil Baby in the recently-concluded NBA All-Star 2v2 celebrity game. After the win, the winning rap duo was presented with a banner to commemorate their victory, and it prompted quite an emphatic reaction from Quavo.

Here's a look at the moment the banner was put up, which apparently, turned out as a surprise even for Quavo and Harlow (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Quavo, who was awarded as the MVP of the 2018 All-Star Celebrity Game, had another epic performance on Saturday in the 2v2 match. He logged 17 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks as he led his team to a dominant 21-7 win in the B/R OpenRun game presented by Modelo. He was the best player on the court, and it was a rightful post-win celebration for the 29-year-old hip-hop star as he honored his home city of Atlanta.

Aside from the banner immortalizing the victory, Quavo and Harlow have also won themselves a hefty cash prize of $500,000. That won't be going into their won pockets, though, as the money will be donated to an HBCU of their choice.

As a bit of a side note, the mean streets of Twitter were also flowing with criticism against the losing side of 2 Chainz and Lil Baby. The latter did not exactly have a memorable performance, and the folks over on social media blasted Lil Baby for his lackluster showing.

Whatever the case may be, it was a nice way to open the highly-anticipated All-Star weekend.
