The Utah Jazz were the feel good story of the 2016-2017 NBA regular season. They found their stride and made the playoffs for the first time since their 2012 first round sweep exit at the hand of the San Antonio Spurs.

Much of Utah's success this season is attributed to Coach of the Year candidate Quin Snyder, and soon-to-be-free-agent superstar, Gordon Hayward. In his seventh season with the Jazz, Hayward averaged career highs in points and rebounds per game, making this summer very interesting.

Hayward holds a player option on his contract, which means opting out would make him an unrestricted free agent. With so many teams ready to spend some cash under the league's extended cap, Hayward is a name at the top of many franchises list.

If you ask Coach Snyder, those teams are out of luck, believing whole heartedly that his star player is sticking around.

“I think people here know it. That's why they've got billboards of him going up apparently,” Snyder told Deseret News. “He's being rewarded for the investment. His whole heart is in it. He's all in.”

Whichever team Hayward chooses to sign with, he's in for one massive payday. His pick and roll running mate, Rudy Gobert, already landed his huge contract offer, signing a four year, $102M contract in October. If thats the price for Gobert, Hayward will be bathing in green.
