The Las Vegas Raiders signed running back Jeremy Hill on Monday. Just two days later, Hill has been released.

Las Vegas cut Hill on Wednesday after activating Devontae Booker from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic.

Hill was rather trite in his response.

Hill has not played in the NFL since 2018, when he made just one appearance for the New England Patriots after suffering a torn ACL in Week 1. He was placed on injured reserve list, then missed the entirety of the 2019 campaign.

It seems the 27-year-old will have to look elsewhere as he looks to make his return.

Booker, meanwhile, hardly got any usage as a member of the Denver Broncos last season. The 28-year-old suited up for all 16 games, but had just eight total touches and was on the field for just 26 offensive snaps.

Of course, Booker might still have to fight for a roster spot, as he currently looks like the fourth-string running back in Las Vegas.

Fortunately, the Raiders have a stud in the backfield.

Josh Jacobs was one of the top offensive rookies in football last season, rushing for 1,150 yards on 4.8 yards per carry in just 13 games. Jacobs also scored seven rushing touchdowns, and he averaged 2.8 yards after contact.

Raiders head coach Jon Gruden is often reliant on establishing the run, but quarterback Derek Carr is also coming off arguably the best season of his career.

Needless to say, the Raiders are hoping to be one of the more well-rounded offenses in football in 2020.
