Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper, who has been dinged up for awhile, will play in the team's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

For some context, Amari Cooper actually hasn’t played since suffering a concussion and injuring his ankle in a Week 12 outing against the Denver Broncos.

With the AFC West having a deadlock at the top, with every team but the Broncos being involved, getting Cooper back now is a huge boost to the offense.

As good as this is the fact that the Raiders will also be seeing Michael Crabtree return from his one-game suspension. For those who have somehow forgotten, Crabtree was suspended for his fisticuffs with Denver corner Aqib Talib. That was over, of course, the chain-snatching incident from over a year ago.

Oakland, Kansas City and the Los Angeles Chargers are tied atop the AFC West with 6-6 records. After Sunday, due to math and head-to-head games, that three-way deadlock will shrink down to two, or even just one team will have a slight lead.

Either way, it is a huge weekend for teams in the AFC West. With the playoffs quickly approaching, one of those National Football League franchises will need to emerge as the winner. The Raiders are simply hoping it is them.
