The Oakland Raiders and Antonio Brown have been involved in a whirlwind of events in the past 24 hours. Despite previous reports refuting the claim, Brown denies that he got into a scuffle with general manager Mike Mayock. The Raiders receiver gave ESPN's Dianna Russini his side of the story.

Earlier on Friday, it was reported that Brown shouted expletives at Mayock and called him ‘cracker' during the altercation between the two. The incident reportedly occurred after practice on Wednesday. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Brown threatened to punch Mayock in the face and punted a football.

Just one day ago, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that the All-Pro receiver would be suspended or made inactive for Monday night's game against the Denver Broncos. Instead, Antonio Brown apologized for his actions toward Mayock in front of the team and returned to practice on Friday.

When asked if Brown would suit up with the team on Monday, Jon Gruden simply said, “that's the plan, yes“. The talented wideout would have lost nearly $30 million in guaranteed money if he had been suspended by the team.

Therefore, it remains to be seen if Brown's apology comes from the heart, or if it was all about the money that was at risk. Nevertheless, Gruden is getting his way with Brown returning and there seems to be a shift of power in the Raiders organization.

There are always two sides to the story and Antonio Brown is telling his. Whether his side is true, we will have to wait and see if any more details emerge in the coming days.
