Antonio Brown requested his release from the Oakland Raiders, then got it. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Brown said on why he was so upset:

“Told me do not come in Thursday. Bad my name. Then come work, give two papers after the press conference. No guaranteed no way.”

The timeline of the release is undoubtedly an interesting one, and in the past 24 hours, didn't become too surprising.

On Thursday, word broke that Brown had gotten into a verbal altercation with general manager Mike Mayock. He was suspended. The fight stemmed from Brown posting a picture of the fines he received from the Raiders on an Instagram story.

Then, Raiders head coach Jon Gruden announced on Friday that Brown would be playing Monday against the Denver Broncos. It turns out, that won't happen.

The Raiders again fined Brown for his altercation with Mayock. Shortly after that news broke, the mercurial wide receiver posted a video on Youtube and Instagram of a private phone conversation with Gruden.

Finally, on Saturday, Brown posted a picture on Instagram with the end sentence asking for his release from the Raiders. He asked for one after Oakland voided the $30 million guaranteed on his contract, due to conduct detrimental to the team. Shortly after that, he got his wish and is now a free agent looking for his next stop.

It's unknown who will sign Brown, considering his dramatic offseason.

Though a perennial Pro Bowler and superstar, he's made far more enemies than friends over the course of a few months.
