Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown issued an emotional apology to the team on Friday morning, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN. She also notes that while he was issuing the apology the team captains were standing with him.

This is a big deal, and is probably the first step for Brown to get back on the good side with his teammates and could help him get back on the field with them.

This comes only two days after Brown and Raiders general manager Mike Mayock had an argument during practice in which Brown had to be held back.

That altercation was just the latest in a long line of issues involving Brown this offseason. He infamously injured his feet in a cryotherapy mishap and threatened to retire over his old helmet, which he was no longer allowed to wear.

Brown doesn't have to get along with all of his teammates or everyone in the front office, but if he lost the support of his teammates, it was going to be hard to get much support inside the locker room.

According to Derek Carr's brother David, the team held a meeting with coach Jon Gruden on Thursday and told him they would support him in whatever decision was made.

Maybe the team has a little different feeling after Brown got in front of them and apologized for what he has done wrong.

There is no questioning the talent that Brown has on the field, so hopefully, this can all be behind them and they can just play football.
