The Oakland Raiders will have the first episode of HBO's Hard Knocks air on August 6th. Early on, we should see the Raiders without arguably their best player due to a foot injury.

According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Antonio Brown is visiting a foot specialist for an opinion on his foot. Brown has missed multiple practices this week with an issue with his foot, to the dismay of Jon Gruden.

“I think we’re all disappointed,” Gruden said Friday regarding Brown’s absence from practice. “We want to get the party started.”

Earlier this offseason, the Raiders traded for the malcontent wide receiver from the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's been years since the Raiders had a superstar receiver on their roster and the fans have been waiting for him to get on the field.

As Brown enters his 10th season, the All-Pro wideout is expected to be a focal point in the offense. Surrounding Derek Carr with a multitude of weapons was the main goal for Oakland this offseason, and they delivered.

After all, this is a crucial season for Carr to prove to Gruden that he's the guy before the team makes the move to Las Vegas in 2020.

Gruden wants to get his best offensive weapon back on the field so he can get a good look at the offense. Until Brown returns, Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow will be heavily involved in the passing game in practice.

Over his career, Brown has shown some of the quickest feet you'll see from a receiver. He's going to need them to be in tip-top shape before he has another season where he catches over 100 passes.
