Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Damon Arnette appears to be in good spirits during his recovery from his thumb injury. The rookie talent recently posted a picture of his thumb post-surgery on his official Instagram page.

His thumb was originally injured during practice ahead of the team's Week 1 game against the Carolina Panthers. After the team staff was able to wrap it to lessen aggravation, Arnette continued to play through Week 3 against the New England Patriots where the thumb was re-injured.

The Raiders were hopeful for the rookie after watching him start to get comfortable in his last two outings. He elevated his performance in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints, a contest that resulted in him having seven tackles. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the recovery from surgery could require roughly six to eight weeks.

With that in mind, the Raiders will look for fellow cornerbacks Nevin Lawson and Isaiah Johnson to step up in Arnette's absence for the remaining bulk of the season. Lawson had five tackles in his recent Week 3 outing against the New England Patriots. Isaiah Johnson hasn't provided help the past two games, but that will definitely change as soon as Week 4.

The Raiders have been doing phenomenal so far this season. Prior to their Week 3 loss to the Patriots, they jumped off to a hot 2-0 start while putting the league on notice. Quarterback Derek Carr has been superb through his first three games. He's completed 74 percent of his passes for 784 yards along with six touchdowns. He's also thrown no picks so far into the season.

The Raiders may run into another roadblock in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills though. The Bills have been hot so far this season as well behind quarterback Josh Allen's dominant performances.
