The Las Vegas Raiders own the second-best passing offense in the NFL based on yards per game. Two of the key components of the Raiders' passing attack have been quarterback Derek Carr and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. Carr recently spoke about Renfrow and offered a hot take that is sure to raise some eyebrows.

“I think he’s the best after the catch in the NFL, if not one of the best. I think the first guy always misses and he’s super hard to tackle, so you always want to get the ball in his hands. And to see him emerging as that guy, it doesn’t surprise me at all.”

Those are some strong words by Derek Carr about receiver Hunter Renfrow. Of course, the Raiders signal-caller is going to support his teammate, but to say that he's the best in the league after the catch, when there's a lot of receivers in the league who are adept at that, is some high praise.

Renfrow, a three-year veteran, has already set his career-high in receiving yards with 760, and has back-to-back 100-yard games for the Raiders. He is extremely underrated. But is he as good after the catch as Carr says he is? Let's see what the number have to say.

For insight on the Raiders' Week 14 matchup against the Chiefs, listen below:

Per NBC Sports, Renfrow ranks 15th, just behind Cincinnati Bengals rookie Ja'Marr Chase, in yards after the catch among all pass-catchers. Basically, Carr isn't far off at all.

Hunter Renfrow will continue to do what he does best- and his quarterback, Derek Carr, will let people know about it. Sound good, Raiders fans?
