Former NFL quarterback and sports analyst David Carr sounded off on the ongoing saga between gunslinger Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks, which also involved his brother Derek who is currently serving as the QB of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The speculated rift happened after Wilson complained about “getting hit too much” due to the team's failure to protect him under center. Since then, trade negotiations have already been discussed between the two camps.

In reality, the Seahawks are still adamant about dealing away their starting quarterback. At the same time, Wilson hasn't made any official demands for trade just yet. However, the 32-year-old player also said that his preferred destinations would be Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, or New Orleans, in the event that a trade will eventually arise.

David Carr didn't mince any words as he showed support in Wilson's arrival in one of those teams, eventually implying that the eight-time Pro Bowler can replace his brother as the starting QB of the Raiders.

“If I'm one of those four teams, I'm picking up the phone yesterday. He is everything you want in a quarterback, with endless talent, arm strength, poise and intelligence. Plus, he has the kind of ice in his veins that gives his team a chance to win late in games, no matter how great the deficit. He'll cost a GREAT deal, but the on-field production and leadership you'd get in return would be worth it,” he said via NFL.com.

On the flip side, the Raiders already insisted on trading away Derek Carr as they still believe that he is their franchise quarterback. However, a package deal involving Russell Wilson will definitely make it hard for any team to resist, including the Raiders.

It appears to be seen whether or not a trade for the Super Bowl XLVIII champion will eventually push through in the coming weeks. Only one thing is for sure: Russell Wilson's potential relocation to any given team will definitely change the dynamics of the entire league heading to the 2021 NFL season.
