The Oakland Raiders suffered a major loss with guard Gabe Jackson being carted off in practice with an MCL injury. It's going to be a serious setback, as he'll likely miss around eight weeks as he deals with this injury.

It's going to be rough for the Raiders as they need their offensive line to be intact going into the second year of a rebuild in the Jon Gruden era. And it all starts with protecting Derek Carr and creating a stable run game. They won't do that with Jackson out for that much of the starting part of the regular season.

Last season, the Raiders were hampered with injuries across the offensive line. Because of that, the Raiders gave up 52 sacks, which tied them for the fifth-most in the league last season. To add to the poor numbers of sacks given up, the Raiders had the eighth-worst rushing attack, as they produced 101.8 rushing yards per game.

And during the 2018 season, Jackson was one of the many Raiders' offensive linemen who suffered from injury setbacks. He was put on injured reserve with only three games left in the season in 2018. With this latest setback, he will be a critical loss to a team trying to make their way back into playoff contention.

Gruden and company will likely put together a plan in making up for the absence of the talented right guard for an offensive line with some potential. Either way, next week's episode of Hard Knocks is going to be an entertaining one.
