The Las Vegas Raiders took an aggressive approach in NFL free agency this offseason. Regardless, general manager Mike Mayock knows full well that they still have a major void to fill on the roster.

Most of the Raiders' notable additions have come on the defensive side of the ball. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, Mayock admits the team must still put an emphasis on beefing up their receiving corps:

“We need to get better at wideout.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Mayock's comments, given this had been a point of weakness during the 2019 campaign. Unfortunately, they did not do much to address their lack of firepower during free agency. While tight end Jason Witten carries an impressive resume, he is hardly a solution to revamp the passing game for quarterback Derek Carr.

Fortunately, there is still a silver lining for Mayock to fill the void through the 2020 NFL Draft. This year's class is expected to feature one of the deepest in recent draft history, and they should have their fair share of opportunities to bring in an immediate impact player. They are currently in position to have their choice of the bunch with the 12th and 19th overall picks.

The Raiders could very well opt to invest some serious draft capital in their receiving corps in order to spark a potential resurgence in the 2020 NFL season. After all, they are set to usher in a new era at Allegiant Stadium and will need plenty of help on offense to help kick things off in style.
