The Las Vegas Raiders will have their work cut out trying to get back into the win column versus the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5. Fortunately, it appears their offense will have its most explosive weapon back in the mix. Wide receiver Henry Ruggs is expected to play after missing the last two games with knee and hamstring injuries, per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk:

Ruggs was limited in practice on Wednesday and moved up to full participation on Thursday. If Ruggs got through the session without tweaking anything and feels well on Friday, he should be able to play against the AFC West leaders.

This is certainly an encouraging update considering how much the receiving corps has been bitten by the injury bug to start the 2020 campaign. Rookie Bryan Edwards appears to be slated to miss his second game in a row due to an ankle injury after not getting any practice time in this week. Fortunately, there are silver linings with Ruggs and tight end Darren Waller listed as limited participants.

Head coach Jon Gruden made it no secret that Ruggs' speed was a major factor in the Raiders making him the first receiver taken in the 20202 NFL Draft. He alluded that this group would need some firepower their own if they were going to keep up with the Chiefs' high-scoring offense.

Despite Ruggs' slow start to the year, Gruden is hoping that he can provide the edge they need to try and pull off an upset over the reigning Super Bowl champs.
