Jon Gruden's first season back running the Oakland Raiders didn't exactly go as planned. Oakland ended up going 4-12 last year, tying them for the worst record in the AFC. The campaign was a disaster from start to finish, but there's a lot of optimism surrounding the team as they enter their final season in Oakland.

The team traded for Antonio Brown this offseason, and also added receiver Tyrell Williams. They added offensive tackle Trent Brown on a massive deal and had three first round picks to work with in April's draft. Hopes are high, especially for Derek Carr and the offense.

There are a ton of storylines surrounding the team right now, which Gruden understands, and he acknowledged as much when speaking to the media recently.

“We've got a lot of distractions. I think we're playing in three countries without a home game. We're in the process of moving. And we're going to try to keep our best players as we head to Las Vegas,” Gruden said, per Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune.

As a result of their move, the Raiders are often forced to play games abroad. As he points out, the team is also moving to Las Vegas next season, which is hanging over the team. A move is a huge deal, and it'll be tough to keep everyone locked in.

While it might seem like there's a lot of distractions now, it could get even worse. The Raiders have been heavily linked to the upcoming season of HBO's hit series ‘Hard Knocks.'

If the Raiders are picked to do the show, all of their business will be broadcast for the world to see on a weekly basis. It's a lot to keep track of, but if there's anyone capable of handling all the craziness, it should be Gruden and his undying energy.
