It is no secret that the Oakland Raiders have been selected to appear on this year's installment of the hit HBO television series, ” Hard Knocks.” With the latest season of the ever-popular program set to debut on Tuesday evening, it doesn't seem as though Raiders head coach Jon Gruden will be waiting around for the premiere.

Not only that, but it doesn't seem as though any of Gruden's players will be waiting around either as Oakland apparently has other plans scheduled for Tuesday evening. To the surprise of absolutely no one, Gruden's squad will instead be watching film.

“I don’t even know what it’s called where you can record it and watch it whenever you can, but we are not going to be eating crackerjacks and peanuts and watching it,” Gruden recently told reporters when asked about the upcoming premiere, via Vic Tafur of The Athletic. “We've got meetings.”

Although Gruden and the Raiders probably won't be watching themselves on television on Tuesday evening, Oakland quickly became one of the frontrunners to appear on the program this offseason. Thanks to the team's exciting and very busy offseason efforts, which includes the acquisition of former All-Pro Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, many will definitely be glued to the television in hopes of seeing some entertaining interactions and some very high-level football. Of course, many will also be hoping to see Gruden go into full-on “Chucky” mode as well.

It is also worth noting that Raiders will kick off the new season on HBO on Tuesday evening at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
