Despite not facing off against one another very often, it was quite evident that Sunday afternoon's matchup in London meant something to both the Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears. In Oakland's case, it was somewhat of a revenge game as the AFC West franchise infamously traded away current Bears pass rusher Khalil Mack midway through last season.

Aiding such a notion, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs openly claimed that Oakland wanted to make a statement with a win over Bears in Week 5.

“We got tired of hearing how good their defense was,” Jacobs promptly told reporters after his team's narrow win over the Bears, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “The deserve that praise because they’re really good, but we’re really good, too. We wanted to let the world know who we are.”

Jacobs, who scored a pair of touchdowns against the Bears, led the Raiders to a 24-21 win overseas with Oakland, notably improving to 3-2 in the process. It is also worth noting that Jacobs produced 143 total yards alongside 123 yards on the ground against the Bears on Sunday afternoon.

“I just try to play and let the results speak for themselves,” Jacobs said of himself, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “I want to be a Hall of Fame player. I don’t try to compare myself to anyone. I just want to be the best I can be. I just want to win.”

Of course, the Bears do still have a very good defensive unit while Jacobs and company managed to get the best of their opponent in Week 5.
