Earlier in the week, Jon Gruden shared his doubts on Josh Jacobs suiting up for the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, but it seems as if those doubts have subsided. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jacobs is expected to play versus the Indianapolis Colts despite being listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

To begin the week, Jacobs was unable to practice with the Raiders, putting his status for Week 14 in jeopardy. However, after failing to log a practice Monday through Wednesday, Jacobs returned to practice on Thursday.

The second-year back missed last week's game versus the New York Jets due to the ankle ailment he is dealing with. In his place, Devontae Booker would compile an average showing against the Jets, rushing for 50 yards on 16 attempts.

Luckily for Las Vegas, in a pivotal game against Indianapolis, they'll have Jacobs available in their backfield. Before suffering the ankle injury, Jacobs was having a decent season with 782 yards and nine touchdowns on a dismal 3.8 yards per attempt.

Nevertheless, in all four games that Jacobs has exceeded 80 rushing yards this season, the Raiders have won. Given that, Las Vegas may want to get Jacobs involved on the ground early and often against a stingy defense in the Colts.

With the AFC playoff race coming down to the wire, the Raiders can't afford to lose many more games to end the season. At the least, it appears that Jacobs will make his return to the offense, barring a setback in pre-game warmups on Sunday.
