As rumors continue to swirl concerning the future of quarterback Tom Brady, the Las Vegas Raiders have reportedly thrown their hat into the mix. Of course, the team seemingly already has a franchise signal caller in Derek Carr; that led to standout rookie running back Josh Jacobs expressing his opinion about the immediate future of the organization:

“I think that Derek is an amazing quarterback,” Jacobs said Friday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. “I think that he's actually one of the smartest guys I've ever met. I mean, whatever they decide to do, we'll be in good hands. You can't ever really compare another quarterback to Tom Brady. But, I think that whatever they decide to do we'll be in good hands.”

Carr was unable to lead the Raiders to the postseason this past year for the third consecutive campaign, but statistically speaking, had one of his more impressive performances. He set a new career high with 4,054 passing yards, tossing 21 touchdowns and throwing just eight interceptions, none of which came over the final four weeks of the season. With the duo of Carr and Jacobs leading the Raiders into their first season in Vegas, the team already has a marketable 1-2 punch built in.

But this is Brady we're talking about. The longtime New England signal caller has made it be known that he will explore all of his options in free agency and is far from a guarantee to return to the Patriots. Whether Las Vegas is his next landing spot or not remains to be seen, but Carr, Jacobs and other Raiders will be watching in anticipation.
