Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is pleased that he was included in the league's Top 100 players list after a stellar rookie campaign.

The NFL recently released its Top 100 players where Jacobs was ranked 72nd. In just 13 games, Jacobs raked in over 1,150 yards and  seven touchdowns before a shoulder injury cut his season short.

Josh Jacobs broke several rookie records of Raiders legendary running back Marcus Allen. In November 2019 — in just his eighth game as a pro — Jacobs claimed the record for most rushing yards by a freshman. In addition, Jacobs had five 100-yard rushing games, eclipsing Allen's previous record of three games. He was one yard short of extending the streak to six games.

Allen himself is in awe of the super rookie. For him, the Raiders' rising star is “destined for greatness.”

Jacobs, for his part, welcomed the high remarks. For the 22-year-old, part of his mission is to honor the ones that came before him.

“Just to know that he sees certain things in me and to have that belief in me? That's huge. Especially with me trying to carry the legacy of the great running backs that's been with the Raiders. For him to be a part of that is just genuine support. He calls and texts me. That's just unconditional love,” Jacobs said, per ESPN.

Amid these milestones, Jacobs remains humble. A fan replied to his tweet, saying that his ranking was way too low. Jacobs doesn't seem bothered by it though.

Certainly, Raiders fans have a lot to be excited about. They have an excellent young player in the fold who's only going to get better through the years.
