Some wild rumors surfaced on Tuesday suggesting Las Vegas Raiders star running back Josh Jacobs is the father of multiple children with different women. Samuel-Clement Enoku of BlackSportsOnline published a story featuring a report alleging the 23-year-old athlete has as many as eight children with eight different women. The source also claimed a ninth woman is expecting a child with Jacobs, too.

After seeing his name tossed around in such a manner, Jacobs felt it was best to address the situation head-on, taking to Twitter to deny the rumors.

The Raiders star seems to think that BSO is simply hunting for clicks and using his name to do so. Jacobs also suggested that he may involve his legal team in the matter:

Considering allegations such as these can be harmful to a player's reputation, it's not surprising to see Jacobs trying to bury these claims hastily. He has adamantly denied any truth to the allegations of him fathering eight and soon-to-be nine children. Still, this wouldn't be the first case of an NFL player boasting an incredibly large family.

Former New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antonio Cromartie is infamously the father of 14 kids with eight different women. Additionally, Philip and Tiffany Rivers are parents to nine children together, and fellow running back Shaun Alexander is the father of 11 children.

This season, Jacobs has rushed 124 times for 472 yards and seven touchdowns. The Raiders running back has also caught a career-high 39 receptions for 236 yards. He will be trying to keep his mind on football and ignore the wild allegations surrounding his name, though that may prove easier said than done.
