The Oakland Raiders are hoping to have Josh Jacobs available in Sunday's pivotal matchup with the Denver Broncos. Luckily for them, Jacobs took part in Tuesday's practice ahead of Week 17.

Over the past couple of months, Jacobs has been nursing a fractured shoulder with the Raiders. As a result, the rookie rusher has been forced to miss two out of the past three weeks.

Before sitting out, Jacobs chose to play through the injury and was still producing impressive numbers. Despite the injury, the 24th overall pick in this year's draft has rushed for 1,150 yards on 242 attempts and seven touchdowns.

The Alabama product has also flashed upside as a receiver with 20 receptions for 166 yards. There's no doubt that Jon Gruden regrets not using Jacobs more as a receiving threat in his rookie season.

After missing last week's contest versus the Los Angeles Chargers, Jacobs was able to participate in Oakland's practice on Tuesday. Instead of holding a regular practice the day before Christmas, the Raiders held a walkthrough on Tuesday.

Due to having a 7-8 record, the Raiders are still alive in the AFC playoff race in Week 17. For the Raiders to play beyond December, they will need a win over the Broncos, a loss from the Pittsburgh Steelers, a loss from the Tennessee Titans, and a loss from the Indianapolis Colts.

As crazy as it may seem, all of those scenarios are entirely possible of happening. Therefore, it would be helpful for Oakland to have their No. 1 running back active in the final week of the regular season.
