Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders decided to make a massive league-shaking trade on Monday afternoon. After a week of rumors, star wide receiver Amari Cooper was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in a deal that netted the Raiders yet another first round pick.

A former Raiders' star took some time to weigh in on the trade. Charles Woodson, one of the most respected Raiders defensive stars of all-time shared his two cents.

Adam Schefter of ESPN shared Woodson's comments about the Cooper to Dallas trade on Twitter.

There are a few different trades that made the Raiders decide to trade their star wide receiver. First and foremost, consistency and production were not there. Cooper has the potential to be a superstar, but he simply was unable to play up to that level on a consistent basis.

Cooper had caught 22 passes for 280 yards and a touchdown throughout the first six games of the season with the Raiders.

In addition to the consistency issue, the Raiders are going into a rebuild. That became clear with the trade of star pass rusher Khalil Mack. Gruden wants to build the team the way that he wants it to be.

At 24 years old, Cooper will be a massive addition for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys' offense. He will enter a new situation with a fresh start and will be asked to handle a large workload. Being traded is never an easy situation, but this move has the chance to be ideal for Cooper.

The Raiders have made it clear that they want to build their roster with a lot of young talent moving forward. Derek Carr is still young enough to quarterback a rebuild, but the pressure will be on Gruden and the Raiders to turn these picks into something special.
