Marshawn Lynch is back here in the NFL…to get fined, apparently.

Nothing says that Lynch is truly back from retirement than the NFL handing the running back a hefty fine.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, sources have told him that the Oakland Raiders running back has been required by the league to pay $12,000 as a penalty for an obscene gesture he made in during Week 1’s game against the Tennessee Titans. The gesture? Well, just Lynch raising both of his middle fingers in the middle of a game.

The ever colorful Lynch came out of a short-lived retirement that lasted just one year to play for his hometown team Raiders. But some habits appear to die hard for Lynch, who continues to test the boundaries of game officials’ patience with his antics.

That aside, Lynch announced his return to regular season play by rushing for 76 yards on 18 carries in the Tennessee game.

Knowing Lynch, the fine won’t deter him from hugging headlines in the future, not only for his on-the-field performance but also for the sidelights he effortlessly provides.
