Marshawn Lynch may end up playing another NFL season.

The NFL running back told Bill Maher, on his eponymously named HBO show, that he may be playing again in 2019 if everything lines up the way it should.

When asked if he will play again, Lynch — notoriously a man of very few words — simply said, “if it works out that way, then I will.”

Lynch and Maher also talked extensively about controversial NFL player Colin Kaepernick, Donald Trump (who called Lynch “unpatriotic”), and the effects of gentrification.

Marshawn Lynch, who will turn 33 this April, only played six games this season. He's been out due to a groin injury.

However, in those six games, Lynch managed to rush for 376 yards and three touchdowns on 90 carries.

Fans will recall, however, that Lynch has already announced his retirement once. In 2016, he announced that he was retiring after nine years on the field — and six of those years with the Seattle Seahawks. However, it didn't take long for him to go back to the field yet again.

And when Lynch returned to the field, he went to play for the Oakland Raiders — his home — where he'd been ever since.

However, Lynch's contract is up soon, and he'll be a free agent in just a few months.

The Raiders have not yet commented on whether they will keep Marshawn Lynch on the roster, even though he is a five-time Pro Bowl player, and the team could use the added boost in the seasons to come.
