The Oakland Raiders were able to bounce back last week on Thursday Night Football with an impressive come-from-behind win over the division rival Kansas City Chiefs. Although the Raiders were able to get back on track, the team did it mostly without their star running back who was ejected for making contact with an official.

As a result of the incident, Lynch was suspended by the NFL for one game. The veteran running back promptly appealed the suspension, but the appeal was denied, according to Josh Dubow of The Associated Press.

Marshawn Lynch's appeal of his one-game suspension for shoving an official was denied Tuesday and the running back will miss Oakland's game this week at Buffalo.

Fortunately for the Raiders, the team has two formidable backups in Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington that can help fill the void left by Lynch's absence in Week 8.  These two backs shared the bulk of the carries once Lynch was ejected against the Chiefs.

The Raiders will try to push through without Lynch in Week 8 as they take on the Buffalo Bills in the first two-game road trip. Oakland will finish their short road trip against the Miami Dolphins before heading back home to face the New England Patriots on Nov. 19.
