The drama surrounding the Oakland Raiders continues to get progressively worse concerning superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown. The perennial Pro Bowler got into a verbal and almost physical altercation with general manager Mike Mayock this week which has resulted in a potential suspension and possibly the beginning of the end of Brown's stay in Oakland.

On Thursday, Mayock was asked about the altercation with Brown, and he made sure to keep his comments short and sweet, via Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Brown has yet to play a down for the Raiders, and the drama continues daily with the controversial wideout. This may ultimately lead to the team deciding to part ways with the outspoken and complicated veteran. Although this would look poorly on the franchise after making the move to trade for the five-time All-Pro, the situation simply isn't getting any better, and it may only get worse once the season gets underway this week.

Brown was going to play a major role on this Raiders team as Derek Carr's top option in the passing game, but he seems to be doing more harm than good at this point.

Even with Brown in the fold, the Raiders aren't expected to be a force in the AFC this season which could be factored into the team's decision-making process on whether to cut ties before this situation gets even more out of hand.

It remains to be seen whether Brown will ever catch a pass in silver and black, but one thing is for sure, the drama in Oakland is starting to take a toll on the team and its front office personnel.
