The Oakland Raiders continue to collect bodies this offseason — talented ones, at that. According to a Tuesday evening report from Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Raiders have agreed to sign veteran NFL linebacker Vontaze Burfict.

Burfict has reportedly agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Raiders after recently being released by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Interestingly enough, the veteran linebacker will now join a longtime foe in Raiders newcomer Antonio Brown, who was of course previously an All-Pro wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. During Brown's lengthy stint in Pittsburgh, Burfict was often there to make sure the Steelers didn't get the better of his Bengals while even colliding with the Raiders new pass catcher on more than one occasion…

While it remains to be seen how Burfict and Brown ultimately get along as Raiders teammates, one thing is for certain — Oakland is trying to turn things around in a hurry and win now.

Last season, Oakland infamously traded away both pass rusher Khalil Mack and wide receiver Amari Cooper, which catapulted the AFC West franchise into a full-on rebuild. Now owning a slew of top NFL Draft picks over the course of the next several seasons, the Raiders have already begun adding veteran talent to the mix as well with both Brown and Burfict perfect examples of such a notion.

Prior to coming to terms with the Oakland this week, Burfict notably spent his entire NFL career as a member of the aforementioned Bengals.
