The Oakland Raiders announced five new additions to Jon Gruden's coaching staff on Thursday, per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

First, the Raiders hired Brentson Buckner as their defensive line coach. Buckner spent the 2018 campaign as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defensive line coach and earned his first NFL coaching job back in 2013, when he accepted a position as Arizona Cardinals defensive line coach, where he stayed from 2013 through 2017.

He also served as an intern for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010 through 2012.

However, Buckner is most known for his playing career, as he played 12 seasons in the NFL, spending time with the Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers as a defensive lineman.

Oakland also hired Kirby Wilson as its running backs coach. Wilson landed his first NFL coaching job all the way back in 1997, taking over as running backs coach for the New England Patriots.

Overall, Wilson has been a running backs coach for nine different NFL teams, including a stint with Gruden's Buccaneers from 2002 through 2003.

Most recently, the 57-year-old served as running backs coach for the Cardinals in 2018.

In addition, the Raiders have hired A.J. Neibel as their strength and conditioning coach and have announced the hirings of defensive backs coach Taver Johnson and senior offensive assistant John Morton, who worked under Gruden during Gruden's first stint with the Raiders.

Oakland won just four games in Gruden's first season back at the helm this past year, marking the fourth time the Raiders have won four games or less over the last seven seasons.
