University of Houston pass rusher Ed Oliver displayed freakish ability in this year's combine. He now may have earned a spot in the top five of this year's draft. The Oakland Raiders are hosting Oliver and could use their No. 4 pick to draft him.

Raiders general manager Mike Mayock had some very high praise for Oliver. He recognizes how special a talent he could potentially be. Mayock spoke about Oliver prior to the draft, not knowing what was to come.

“When you talk about Oliver, you are talking about a different defensive lineman. You have to evaluate everything he does, how he does it, what does he weigh, how fast does he run, and can he impact your scheme? I think he's one of the guys this week that most of the teams are intrigued, not just his height and weight, but how he works out, how he handles himself. He's an interesting case because different than most of the first-round linemen out there.”

Oliver ran a 4.24 40-yard dash, which was equivalent to running back Le'Veon Bell's time a handful of years ago. The difference, of course: Oliver is a defensive lineman and has no business running that fast; teams trying to take him in the draft looked on wide-eyed. Oliver will likely be a terror for opposing offensive linemen and could collect double-digit sacks as early as his rookie campaign. The Raiders could desperately use Ed Oliver on the line, considering they were dead last in pass-rush statistics last season after dealing Khalil Mack.
