The Oakland Raiders’ cornerback shopping spree continues. They have signed their fifth new cornerback of this offseason after picking up former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley, ESPN’s Josina Anderson reports.

Worley, who just arrived in Philadelphia this offseason as part of the Torrey Smith trade with the Carolina Panthers, was cut by the Eagles on April 15. His release came shortly after Worley was arrested near the team facility after he was found passed out in his car on a highway.

He allegedly acted combatively toward police officers responding to the scene and needed to be subdued using a taser. Worley now faces six charges following his arrest, including driving under the influence, possession of an instrument of crime and resisting arrest.

The 23-year-old Worley spent his first two seasons in the league with the Panthers, who drafted him in the third round in 2016. He racked up 150 total tackles with three interceptions, two sacks, and 19 passes defended in 31 games (25 starts) with the Panthers.

Worley now joins a Raiders secondary which has undergone significant changes this offseason. They cut veteran corners David Amerson and Sean Smith at the start of free agency, and also lost T.J. Carrie to the Cleveland Browns.

To make up for those departures, the Raiders have signed free agents Shareece Wright, Rashaan Melvin, Leon Hall, and Senquez Golson. Worley will have a strong chance of winning a starting spot in that group.

Worley will be reunited with Raiders safety Karl Joseph in Oakland. The two were teammates in college at West Virginia.
